Your first integration
Read market data, connect a Trading Account, and submit your first Paper order.
Start with Paper
The REST base URL is https://paper.mariex.com. Paper uses simulated funds and currently operates as a restricted pilot. Trading requires an approved account.
Public market-data requests do not require an API Credential. Start by reading the server clock and the listed symbols.
curl "https://paper.mariex.com/fapi/v1/time"
curl "https://paper.mariex.com/fapi/v1/exchangeInfo"Create an API Credential
Sign in to Mariex Paper, select the Trading Account your client will use, and open API credentials. Each credential belongs to one Trading Account. READ access is included; enable TRADE only when the client needs to place or cancel orders.
Save the secret when it is displayed. Configure your client through environment variables or your own secret manager. The documentation site does not collect your key or secret.
- Use the website for Paper funding and account administration. API Credentials do not authorize those actions.
- Check the credential's expiry and allowed-source policy before connecting your client.
Prepare an order
Read exchangeInfo for the symbol's filters before choosing a quantity and price. Preserve decimal values as strings. Your client must satisfy quantity steps, price ticks, minimum notional, margin and leverage limits.
Use the Place order reference for a signed LIMIT or MARKET request. LIMIT requires a price. MARKET must omit price. These requests can change your Paper positions when you run them from your client.
Follow the result
Read the returned order status and executed quantity. Order acceptance is not a promise that the entire order filled. Use order queries and private stream updates to follow subsequent changes.
A timeout can leave the outcome unknown. Query the order and current open orders before sending another command. Stored order and fill history may appear later than current state.
